What are teams for?
Teams offer a way to collaborate with multiple team members who each have a Coresignal account, sharing one subscription plan. Team management options allow you to create, join, and manage teams using an easy system and clear roles.
A company can have up to five teams with different subscription plans shared among the members of that specific team.
What is the difference between a team owner and a team member?
The team owner is the main role. A team can have one owner. An owner can add and remove team members, send requests to join a team, and change the subscription plan. One team can have only one owner.
A team can have multiple members. A team member can join and leave a team and use credits from a shared subscription plan.
Also, team members can create teams. However, a team member cannot change the subscription plan or add other team members.
How is the team owner role assigned?
There are several possible scenarios here:
If you own the account associated with your company domain and were first to register but don’t have an active subscription, the team owner role will be automatically assigned to you.
If you were the first to purchase a subscription associated with a company domain, and this subscription is active, the team owner role will be automatically assigned to you.
If you create a new team, you become the team owner with permission to purchase a subscription.
What is the difference between a closed and an open team?
Joining a closed team requires making a membership request. In an open team, everyone can join independently without waiting for a confirmation from the team owner.
How do I invite someone to join my team?
To invite someone to join your team, follow these steps:
Go to the Members section in your account settings
If you have multiple teams, select the team you want to expand
Click the Invite members button
After clicking, you’ll be asked to add their email address. You can add more than one email address at once, but please note that only people who have an email address associated with the same company domain can be added.
If your team is open, members will be added right away.
If you’re inviting members to a closed team, you’ll send them an invitation to join. After you send the invitation, these users will receive an email with a request to review and accept or decline your invitation.
How can I request to join a team?
You can join one or multiple teams associated with the company domain associated with your email address. To do so, go to the Teams section in your account settings and click the Create or join team button. You'll then see which teams you can join by requesting access. After you submit your request, a team owner will have to review and approve it.
Alternatively, the Create or join team action can be performed using this option from the drop-down menu in the top-left corner of your account settings or by clicking on your account avatar in the top right corner and using the Create or join team option from the Switch teams drop-down menu.
How do I approve or decline a team membership request?
To approve or decline a membership request, go to the Teams section in your settings and open the Requests tab. All pending requests will be shown there.
Can I remove a member from my team?
Yes, you can remove a member from your team and revoke their access to the shared subscription and team’s usage history. Go to the Members section, find the member you want to remove, open the three-dot menu next to their name, and select the Remove option. You’ll be asked to confirm this action once more, and the team member will be removed.
Can I change the team owner?
The team owner role is assigned automatically. To change the team owner, get in touch with us.
Can I leave the team?
Yes, you can leave a team anytime. If you decide to do so, go to the Teams section in your personal settings, where you’ll see your teams. To leave any of the teams, click Leave and confirm your action.
Can I delete a team?
Yes, you can delete an existing team. To perform this action, contact us.
What happens if I leave a team?
If you leave the team, you will no longer have access to the shared subscription plan. To rejoin the team, you will need to submit a new membership request.
